Accordion Albums

Thanksgiving has passed and gone, are you ready for Christmas? I'm certainly not ready at all! I haven't made any holiday cards for myself to send, I'll probably buy them at the stores like past years, I don't think my friends and family likes my handmade stuff. lol So why bother, right?

While I was shopping last week at Michaels, I came across some blank accordion albums. Never made one before so I thought I'd give it a try, I had so much fun with it, I actually made two. The first one is titled --'tis the season, it's made with Cosmo Cricket papers, and the second one is titled -- Merry Christmas, and that one is made with Making Memories papers. I thought both of them turned out really nicely.

I'm currently working with another accordion album with tear bears, very kid friendly. I hope to get it done tonight.

Happy Scrapping!

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

This is the first Christmas album I created using the new Brenda Walton papers. Vintage type albums are not my cup of tea, but I just love these papers. I hope I did the papers justice. More to come later.

PFOP Handmade Cards Challenge

My ebay group PFOP's having a card challenge this week, and all the designers came up with wonderful cards and I want them ALL. If you're looking for some cards to send this year, come check us out. The link to our listings is located on the panel on the right hand side.

I love sending cards during the holidays, but I usually go out to the store and buy them, but I'm going to save some money this year and make my own cards. I don't know how many people appreciate homemade stuff, but I'm going to send my friends and family my cards, whether they like my stuff or not. lol

I came up with 3 sets of cards for the challenge, I wish I had time to make more, but I always run out of time.

Christmas Ornaments -- I used K&Co.'s Evergreen line papers, pearl stickers, ribbons, QK die cuts, and acrylic stamp.

Jolly Set -- I used K&Co.'s Evergreen papers, ribbons, chip boards, tags, pearl stickers, and flowers.

Let it Snow -- I think this is my favorite card out of the bunch.

Joy & Cheer Set -- I used the same materials as the Jolly Set

I hope you enjoy them, if you want to see more, please come visit my ebay listings.

More Goodies

I went to Michael's yesterday with a few 50% off coupons and I was so excited to see new items in the store. And I was even more excited when an employee told me that they are getting even more stuff in but the shipment hasn't arrive yet, I think I need to stop by again later on this week. I keep telling myself I don't need anymore supplies, but who can resist the new Brenda Walton's Evergreen line from K&Co., I couldn't, they are just too delicious. ^_^

I got the paper pad, some stickers, a box of chipboards, and embellishments and a few spools of ribbons.

I also got these gift boxes and tags, and I plan to fill them up with peppermints and other holiday goodies.

I was so excited to see these MME papers, I couldn't get a hold of them last year and when I saw them, it's a must have for me. they are such fun papers, they are others great MME papers, but I run out of coupons. hehe

MME calendar kit! How cool is that? I'm be making one for my design group -- PFOP's Home for the Holiday challenge. I know it's a kit, but I'm going to change it a bit. That's not cheating right, it's still handmade by me. lol

Family Bliss

I just love K&Co.'s Que Sera Sera Colletion, the papers are so pretty and the colors so rich. This is the 4th album I made with these papers and sadly the last one. I don't have anymore of these papers left. I titled this album FAMILY BLISS.

The butterflies on the front of the album are cut from Quickutz dies, aren't they just pretty? I'm a QK addict.

A sideview of the album, this album is filled with Prima flowers, ribbons, and other embellishments.

This album is made with a combination of chipboard and acrylic sheets.

I love to layer ribbons, and flowers.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these pages, more to come soon.
