Happy 2010!

I hope you all enjoyed the holidays! I wasn't planning to take such a long break from blogging, but I guess I needed it! I can't believe 2009 is over, I know last year wasn't a good year for many of us, but a little birdie told me that 2010 will be a very good year! ;)
I haven't make anything to sell so I don't have anything new to show you, but I'm hoping to get something made this weekend. Well, at least some cards. I think I lost my scrapbooking mojo over the holidays, someone please send my mojo a GPS so it'll make its way back to me! Thanks!
Happy 2010 everyone! :)

Accordion Albums

Thanksgiving has passed and gone, are you ready for Christmas? I'm certainly not ready at all! I haven't made any holiday cards for myself to send, I'll probably buy them at the stores like past years, I don't think my friends and family likes my handmade stuff. lol So why bother, right?

While I was shopping last week at Michaels, I came across some blank accordion albums. Never made one before so I thought I'd give it a try, I had so much fun with it, I actually made two. The first one is titled --'tis the season, it's made with Cosmo Cricket papers, and the second one is titled -- Merry Christmas, and that one is made with Making Memories papers. I thought both of them turned out really nicely.

I'm currently working with another accordion album with tear bears, very kid friendly. I hope to get it done tonight.

Happy Scrapping!

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

This is the first Christmas album I created using the new Brenda Walton papers. Vintage type albums are not my cup of tea, but I just love these papers. I hope I did the papers justice. More to come later.

PFOP Handmade Cards Challenge

My ebay group PFOP's having a card challenge this week, and all the designers came up with wonderful cards and I want them ALL. If you're looking for some cards to send this year, come check us out. The link to our listings is located on the panel on the right hand side.

I love sending cards during the holidays, but I usually go out to the store and buy them, but I'm going to save some money this year and make my own cards. I don't know how many people appreciate homemade stuff, but I'm going to send my friends and family my cards, whether they like my stuff or not. lol

I came up with 3 sets of cards for the challenge, I wish I had time to make more, but I always run out of time.

Christmas Ornaments -- I used K&Co.'s Evergreen line papers, pearl stickers, ribbons, QK die cuts, and acrylic stamp.

Jolly Set -- I used K&Co.'s Evergreen papers, ribbons, chip boards, tags, pearl stickers, and flowers.

Let it Snow -- I think this is my favorite card out of the bunch.

Joy & Cheer Set -- I used the same materials as the Jolly Set

I hope you enjoy them, if you want to see more, please come visit my ebay listings.

More Goodies

I went to Michael's yesterday with a few 50% off coupons and I was so excited to see new items in the store. And I was even more excited when an employee told me that they are getting even more stuff in but the shipment hasn't arrive yet, I think I need to stop by again later on this week. I keep telling myself I don't need anymore supplies, but who can resist the new Brenda Walton's Evergreen line from K&Co., I couldn't, they are just too delicious. ^_^

I got the paper pad, some stickers, a box of chipboards, and embellishments and a few spools of ribbons.

I also got these gift boxes and tags, and I plan to fill them up with peppermints and other holiday goodies.

I was so excited to see these MME papers, I couldn't get a hold of them last year and when I saw them, it's a must have for me. they are such fun papers, they are others great MME papers, but I run out of coupons. hehe

MME calendar kit! How cool is that? I'm be making one for my design group -- PFOP's Home for the Holiday challenge. I know it's a kit, but I'm going to change it a bit. That's not cheating right, it's still handmade by me. lol

Family Bliss

I just love K&Co.'s Que Sera Sera Colletion, the papers are so pretty and the colors so rich. This is the 4th album I made with these papers and sadly the last one. I don't have anymore of these papers left. I titled this album FAMILY BLISS.

The butterflies on the front of the album are cut from Quickutz dies, aren't they just pretty? I'm a QK addict.

A sideview of the album, this album is filled with Prima flowers, ribbons, and other embellishments.

This album is made with a combination of chipboard and acrylic sheets.

I love to layer ribbons, and flowers.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these pages, more to come soon.

Custom Cards

I don't usually take custom orders, but I got a request to make some custom cards for a friend, 22 cards to be exact. I must say it's the largest order I've done so far. I hope she likes them. I used K&Co.'s Que Sera Sera collection, MME papers, and some DCWV papers. Now I'm off to make more cards for my design team's card challenge.

Look what I've got!

WOW! I can't believe it's been more than a year since my last post! Can I call myself a major slacker? Now I have to navigate blogspot and re familiarize with all the features and just learn how to use it again, I feel like I'm so knew at this, but I'll try very hard to post at least once a week...don't hold me to it though. haha.

I'm like all girls and I like to shop and I like to shop for sccrapbooking supplies very much! hehe. Well, I went to Hobby Lobby to pick up some supplies since they are having a 50% off on most items. You won't believe how much I paid for the supplies in the photo, $44.01!! I can't believe it myself when they cashier told me the price, so I asked her are you sure? and she said with some attitude: YES I'M SURE! No point in arguing with her there and I'm very happy with my purchase! I got the following for $44.01! WOOT!
  • MME Penny Lane paper collection
  • 2 packs of Basic Grey papers -- Lemonade and Porcelain
  • 5 packs of Bazzill flowers
  • 2 Quikutz Magnet boards
  • 3 packages of Spare Parts loops
  • 1 large bottle of white Prima flowers
  • 6 sheets of BG papers and 2 sheets of Ki Memories die cuts papers
I'm going to be a very busy girl this week.

Baby's 1st Easter

Easter Set. I created these gift sets with a tiny stuffed bunny, a chipboard album and it comes with a gift bag. It's perfect for that special baby's first Easter.

Archiver's

I've seen their store advertisements numerous times in magazines and I always wanted to go. Well, I did a few weeks ago and that store is amazing!

They have thousands of papers and stickers, not to mention punches, stamps, ribbons, albums, and all the things you can think of for scrapbooking. They also have a clearance corner, great selections, and most of them ranges from $1-$3.
Mike had to walk around the mall alone while I stayed in the store for about 1.5 hours. Poor guy! But it was his idea.

UHU Glue Roller

I have a few people ask me what kind of adhesives I use for scrapbooking. I use fabri-tac (my favorite), double sided tapes, Tombow Adhesive Glue, and UHU glue roller (pictured on the left).

If you haven't tried the UHU glue roller, you should. They have permanent and non-permanent ones. It has micro-dot glue pattern, which gives a clean break without the stringing effect, and it dries quickly. I often use it on those mini Quickutz die-cuts.

I think they sell it at Michael's for $6.99 (find a coupon), but you can do a search online and get it cheaper. I just bought a bunch (11 of them) for $29.00, that's with S&H on ebay. Give it a try.

Grandchildren Paper Bag Album

This Grandchildren album was a suggestion by one of my previous buyer. She wanted an album to put photos of her many grand kids. I'm not sure if she likes the final result, but I hope so. I used K&Company papers this time, I love most of their paper lines, so pretty.

Materials used:

  • K&Co. Sparkly Sweet line of papers
  • DCWV & Bazzill cardstocks
  • Tear Bears
  • Rhinestones
  • Ribbons
  • Rub-ons
  • Quickutz die cuts
  • Brads
  • Buttons
  • Butterfly punches
  • Prima, Mulberry, & Bazzill flowers
  • and various stickers
